We've recently introduced a label feature in 52ViKING. Despite it's name it isn't a new shelf label feature. In this case a label is an attribute that you can use to create a many-to-one relation between articles and a discount group.
The feature makes it easy to grant a discount on multiple articles that have a given label in common, for example Organic. That way, you can quickly grant discounts on large volumes of articles (for example all Organic articles) even though those articles don't necessarily share other attributes or belong in the same departments, article groups, etc.
Example:
-
For a limited period your store wants to offer 25% off all organic articles, no matter whether they're organic vegetables, organic textiles, organic wine, organic meat, or any other type of organic articles.
-
If you add an Organic label to all organic articles, you can then cover all those articles with a single selection when you set up the discount group.
A single article can have multiple labels. So if you, for example, want to be able to easily include a Bosch power drill in future Bosch offers as well as in future power tools offers, you can simply add two labels to the drill: Bosch and PowerTool:
Labels can contain up to 30 characters. They can't contain spaces or non-ASCII characters (so no special characters, like æ, ø, å, etc.).
For information about how to specify labels on individual articles, see Manage articles in 52ViKING Store Management. If you ask your friendly Fiftytwo consultant, they can also show you how you can import labels and mass-apply them on required articles on your 52ViKING solution.
For information about how to select a label when you set up a discount group, see Manage discount groups in 52ViKING Store Management.
