Update stock levels in 52ViKING POS

Imagine the following example scenarios where article stock levels must be updated ad-hoc, that is directly where and when it's needed:

  • A mobility chain has a convenience store at one of their gas and charging stations. In the store, a shop assistant discards four sandwiches that have been on display for the maximum allowed number of hours without being sold. That means that the store's stock level must be adjusted down, possibly with a reason code that explains why the sandwiches were discarded.

  • A wholesaler representative visits a grocery store. Unfortunately, he arrives an hour later than agreed. As a compensation, the representative gives the grocer a 50-can crate of a popular fruit drink free of charge. The store already has the fruit drink in its inventory, so the grocer decides to sell the 50 extra fruit drinks in the store. That means that the store's stock level must be adjusted up, possibly with a reason code that explains that the fruit drinks were a wholesaler gift.

You can adjust stock levels directly on your 52ViKING POS till. Your supervisor can also do it in the backoffice, so remember to agree who does what.
